Brandi Passante Sends a Heartfelt Message
After hearing the news, Passante posted a sweet message and old pictures of herself and Sheets on Instagram. She said she had known him for a long time and felt very sorry for his family, especially his kids.
She also talked about her own experiences with loss, saying that she had lost close family members in similar situations in the past. She used her position to tell those who are having emotional problems to get treatment and support, stressing that they are not alone. She also gave out the number for the suicide prevention hotline, 988, and urged individuals who were having problems to call it instead of keeping quiet.
René Nezhoda, a co-star, talks about online harassment.
René Nezhoda, another cast member of Storage Wars, also spoke out about Sheets’ death. He talked about the problems Sheets had been having online in a video he shared on social media. These problems included continuing cyberbullying.
Nezhoda said she hoped the authorities would look into the matter. She stressed that public personalities often deal with personal problems that aren’t visible to the public. He also thought about his connection with Sheets. He said that even though they were rivals on the program, they respected each other and stayed friends off-camera.
Investigation into claims of cyberbullying
Before he died, Sheets publicly named someone he thought was responsible for bullying him online. He said in messages on social media that the individual was impersonating him and hurting his reputation, and that the abuse had been going on for years.
According to reports, the police in Lake Havasu City are looking into the claims of cyberbullying as part of a larger probe into the matter.
